Ucci is Alex and Deanna. We combine craftmanship (Alex) with research into animal behaviour (Deanna) to create animal centered design.

Our story starts with a cat called Nerina. As she slowly but surely destroyed our sofa, we realized that she need a scratching post. But we couldn’t find one we liked. So we set out to make something we did. Something sustainable. Something nice to have at home.

We knew that wood is the perfect scratching surface, so we headed to the local forest to find something to turn into a cat tree. The end result was good for the cat, good for the planet, and it looks good in our home.
